Helichrysum Essential Oil:

Helichrysum is Greek for "gold of the sun" and has been prized for a thousand years for its therapeutic properties. In aromatherapy it is used topically undiluted for faster healing of cuts, wounds, and bruises. It is highly effective in formulas for diminishing scars and stretch marks, particularly when added to rose hip seed oil. Helichrysum oil has strong purification properties and can also be used to assist with detoxifying from the use of drugs or nicotine products.

 Characteristics:
A pale yellow to red oily liquid with a powerful, rich honey-like scent with a delicate tea-like undertone. It blends well with citrus oils.

Anti-allergenic, antitussive, astringent, cholagogue, cicatrizant, diuretic, expectorant, fungicidal, hepatic.

You will find Helichrysum plant growing wild in areas around the Mediterranean. It can also be found in regions of high altitudes and a dry climate where there is a strong exposure to the sun.
